A copper tube aluminum fin condenser coil is an air-cooled heat exchanger used to remove heat from refrigerant during the refrigeration cycle.
High-temperature refrigerant enters the condenser coil after leaving the compressor. As air passes across the aluminum fins, heat is transferred from the refrigerant through the copper tubes and aluminum fins to the surrounding air. The refrigerant then condenses into a high-pressure liquid and continues through the refrigeration system.
The combination of copper tubes and aluminum fins provides a large heat transfer surface while keeping the coil compact and relatively lightweight.
